We had the perfect day for Brittany and Cole’s wedding. The weather was beautiful, warm, and not too hot. Just like any wedding, the day flew by. One minute I’m at the church taking pictures of the ceremony and then next I’m packing my bags up to head home from the reception. They fly by, but man are they fun!
I absolutely love shooting weddings. Why you ask? I have 2 reasons why:
- I absolutely LOVE getting to know the couple, how they met, how they fell in love and their history. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things, I can talk to anymore, but getting to know them on a personal basis is even more rewarding! So when I shoot a couple’s wedding, I enjoy seeing the love they share together, shine right through them. The smile on a groom or bride’s face on their wedding day is one of my favorite sights.
- I love the fast pace environment. I’m a go getter, so weddings are fun and can be an adrenaline rush for me. I get so happy and excited all at the same time when I get in my element.
For this wedding I was nerd-ing out over the perfect spot we had set for bridal party portraits. The timing of day was perfect, the bridal party was wonderful to work with and the location was beautiful with bright greenery everywhere.
For this couple, I didn’t really “meet them” as new clients. I’ve known the couple for years now and knew them both, as we all went to the same high school, before they even started dating. I was honored to shoot the wedding when the bride asked and couldn’t wait for an evening of dinner and dancing will all the fellow Old Fort-ians.
Brittany and Cole, I wish you the best in all of your future endeavors together and hope that you will continue to love each other as much as you do now in the years to come.
- Diana
