Maria and Nick were so adorable during their engagement session at Norwalk Reservoir this spring! I actually met this sweet couple through another photographer and taking their pictures was an absolutely joy. I love shooting at this location all during the year because of the versatility of the area. From a small clove of trees and large fields to a wooden dock and a beautiful lake, there are so many options when it comes to portraits at Norwalk Reservoir. 👌🏼

This couple actually met through mutual friends in April 2022. Maria was going over to her friend LeAnn’s house one night and LeAnn’s boyfriend Colton mentioned he had a friend who would be the perfect match for Maria. Two weeks later, Nick and Maria met on a double date, but surprisingly, it was a disaster! Nick was two hours late and barely talked to her. Therefore, Maria was shocked when he asked for her phone number. However, Nick was Colton’s best friend and Maria felt she owed it to Colton to go on a solo date with him. ☺️

Once the two of them got together alone, they instantly clicked and the rest was history! Maria and Nick have become super close to Colton and LeAnn, especially since Nick’s house is only one mile from theirs. Colton and LeAnn got married in early may and Maria officiated the wedding with Nick as a groomsman.

Nick proposed to Maria on Tuesday, November 21st at his house in Monroeville. Maria had joked all during their relationship that we would get engaged on a Tuesday night and I would be in my pajamas LOL. Well, that is exactly what happened! When Maria and Nick got home from dinner, she instantly put on her pajamas. When Maria returned to the living room, Nick asked her to slow dance. At the end of the song he popped the question! It was so magical and definitely so “them”! ❤️

Wedding photography is on the top of Maria and Nick’s list for their special day. Their wedding photos are ones they will cherish for a lifetime so hiring a photographer was the second item on her list after booking the venue! Maria is looking forward to all of her beautiful wedding photos! She loves the traditional photos, but she isn’t a professional photographer. She trusts that her wedding day will be filled with beautiful moments and poses that she wouldn’t think of.
