The Heitsche wedding was the warmest October wedding I’ve ever shot, and one of the most beautiful! Sunny and 70 degrees, with trees turning to yellow and orange all around us. It was absolutely perfect!

The ceremony was held on private property down a long stone dirt road in the woods. All the decorating (both at the ceremony and the reception) was done by the owner of the property, Amy Battles. She did a phenomenal job with everything! There was a beautiful arbor for Allison & Troy to say their vows underneath, and huge mums surrounding the arbor, backed by the fall colors in the trees. Talk about dreamy!

Before heading to the reception, we stopped at a stone quarry (owned by Troy’s parents) for the Bride & Groom and Bridal Party portraits. The light was perfect, and the stones acted as a natural reflector around us, and I absolutely loved the portraits that came from our time there! We even utilized some of the equipment down in the quarry in some of our pictures. The whole bridal party was great to work with and fun, as well as the bride & groom! I loved working with them all.

The reception was just as lovely as the ceremony, complete with my favorite dessert…cheesecake! The couple opted for mini-cheesecakes for their guests, and then a cheesecake for the two of them to enjoy…and smash all over each other’s faces!

All in all, this wedding was absolutely perfect, and one that I would gladly repeat!

One little tip I want to leave brides-to-be with, if you ever have questions regarding how much time to allow on your wedding timeline for x, y, or z, please feel free to reach out to me! I’m always in close contact with my brides as we near your big day, but I want you all to know that you can always reach out to me! Having a well planned out schedule makes your big day go smoothly and helps you relax and enjoy everything!
