Lydia and Estephan’s engagement session in Green Springs, Ohio was such a gorgeous session! The weather was definitely on our side as we captured the summer light and blue skies while walking around the property. We were so lucky to have access to this lovely property, owned by Lydia’s good family friends. We had so many pretty spots to choose from for their photos, from the open field to the shimmering pond and dock. 😍
This engagement session is special for me, as I have known Lydia’s family for long time! Her brother Austin was in my class all through high school, and we have been friends throughout the years. Lydia said that when I was in high school on the cheerleading team, she always looked up to me. She strived to be the best cheerleader just like me. When she came to watch her brother play basketball, she was always watching me on the sidelines cheering. I can’t believe that Lydia is old enough to be engaged! Time really has flown by!
Estephan and Lydia like to say that they met at Grace Community Church here in Fremont, Ohio. But they actually met each other through Instagram, but then realized that we both went to the same church! Estephen is living in Columbus, Ohio right now, and Lydia is a senior at Mount Vernon Nazarene university in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She is currently studying early childhood/intervention. Estephen graduated from Bowling Green University in 2021 with a degree in marketing. He is currently working in the banking industry.
During their engagement session, I noticed that Estephan was incredibly nice and such a great listener! You could tell just how much he adores Lydia. One of my favorite moments as an engagement photographer is witnessing things like this between my couples! My number one goal for engagement sessions is to make the the couple feel as comfortable as possible! ☺️
I encourage all of my potential clients to have their wedding photographer shoot their engagement session for several reasons. Most couples have never been in front of a camera together, so using the engagement session as a practice run for your wedding is a GREAT idea! You can also develop a good relationship with your photographer as you learn how to pose and use her as a valuable resource for wedding planning. 😏
Congratulations Lydia and Estephan! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next June! My calendar is already filling up for weddings next summer! Be sure to reserve your date by contacting me today!
