Not only do I love shooting weddings, but I also love shooting engagement sessions. That one hour of time allows me to learn so much about the couple. How they interact with each other, how they communicate with each other and how they show their true love towards each other. Some couples are touchy feely, while others say “wow that’s the most we’ve kissed in a month!” 😂….I LOVE IT! 

This engagement session was near and dear to my heart, as I have been friends with Breese and Darris for quite some time. Family friends, my husband’s friends, we are ALL friends! Over the years I have gotten to know Darris and Breese pretty well, hanging out in the Angry Gusset with a few brewskies. 😉 So when I was asked to be their wedding photography I was THRILLED and EXCITED to be part of the big day.

This session was during the “golden hours” of the day, right before the sunset. We met up at Side Cut Metro Park in Maumee, Ohio and had an hour full of conversations, jokes, making Darris take his hat off for a few (😉😋) and a few drinks. 🤫 *look below

Like I said, I’ve known the couple for years now and drinking beer together is just one thing this couple enjoys. It just fits them! So, tip for future brides, if you have something that is unique that you want to show in the last few pictures of your engagement session…tell me about it! I would love to incorporate it!
