Another perfect wedding in the books. If there was one thing that I could’ve changed about this day, I would’ve just added a few inches of snow. Since it was a winter wedding in Ohio, what more could I ask for? This wedding was beautiful though, even without the snow!
For this wedding in particular I knew both the bride and groom very well – Michele and Derek King. The groom and I have known each other since we were little and the bride and I showed hogs together back in the day. However, to top it all off, all three of us work together in our full time jobs in the agricultural field. All three of us are agriculturists at heart and I can easily say that that is what brought us together.
This wedding was an excellent example of true friendships. So many individuals traveled very far to celebrate with them on their big day. The connections this couple has is astounding. They both knew so many people that the reception hall was booming with conversations. Whether it was college buddies catching up or the local farmers talking about who knows what, I can guarantee it that everyone had a great time.
Whether it’s helping milk the jerseys on the farm or sharing a nice cold tall boy at home on the couch, I can truly see this couple’s love for each other. The minute Michele walked down the aisle she had a beaming smile on her face and as I looked back at Derek during this time, I just knew they were meant for each other.
Derek and Michele, continue to share the love for the agriculture industry together and never give up in anything you do. Don’t let the hardships get in the way, whether that’s in farming or in marriage, and always take care of each other. I wish you two the best of luck in everything you do.
