Imagine my excitement when Elena and Wynston reached out about taking their photos! Their summer engagement session in downtown Gibsonburg was such a delight! As you might expect, this sweet couple found me from someone who already knew me. Networking is such an important tool when you’re an engagement and wedding photographer! 😉

Elena had actually heard about me from her brother, who I have known for years now through friends of friends. She just happened to also be a guest at three weddings I’ve shot over the years. 😏 This is such a prime example of networking at its finest! It’s one of the things that I love about being a wedding photographer here in northwest Ohio. I love talking to people, but also connecting the dots from one event or thing to another. Whether it’s how that person knows my friend or how that person likes one hobby or event, I enjoy networking. It’s so important to make those connections!

When I start talking with new clients, I am DETERMINED to find a common denominator. My goal is all about getting to know the real you! I find a topic that we can all discuss together. When I first spoke with Wynston, I was able to share my love of communication. He currently works as a writer for high school athletics in Memphis, Tennessee. Though I don’t know much about high school athletics, I do know a thing or two about writing and advertising. Elena however is on the opposite side of the spectrum. She is a Supply Chain Investigator for TJ Maxx. Wynston and Elena were both students at The University of Cincinnati. They met at a local college bar, and as they say, the rest is history! In December of 2022, Wynston asked for her hand in marriage at her parent’s house on Christmas Eve. 🥰

We started their engagement session at Williams Park in Gibsonburg, Ohio. This is such a beautiful location complete with lots of trees, water and walking paths. Our next spot was the downtown area of Gibsonburg. One of the reasons I love shooting in this little village is because you are combining the old with the new. Gibsonburg still has a lot of retro store signage from businesses that have been there for over fifty years. When you bring a couple here for engagement photos, you capture the new path they are creating by becoming husband and wife. 💙

Congratulations to this super sweet couple! I would love to schedule a date for your engagement session this fall! Visit my contact page to get started! 👈🏼
