This was my last fall wedding for 2022! Gloria & Andrew’s Ohio fall wedding had the perfect weather in the beautiful month of October. It was October 29th, the sun was shinning, we had NO WIND (for once, thank you Ohio weather 👏🏻), and this wedding day just went by so smoothly.
Gloria & Andrew were amazing to work with. From the first time I met them all the way up to their wedding day, they were the sweetest couple ever. So nice and considerate and just down to earth people. As a business owner I can get along with a lot of people, in fact that is one of the best things about my job. I love getting to know my clients and I hope that my couples in return, enjoy hearing a little bit about me. This couple surely knows that I work another full time job, have 2 toddlers at home and a wonderful husband that supports this business. They get it and they support me. 🥰 Gloria and Andrew thank you SO MUCH for that, you have no idea how thankful I am for amazing clients like yourself.
This beautiful fall, October wedding was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Millersville. A cute little church that filled up very quickly on this lovely fall day. 🍂 Right outside the church were three beautiful orange trees, perfect for photos! 👌🏻 With the brick from the church in the background and the leaves all over the ground, the photos in this “sweet spot” were just perfect. Even made the groomsmen do a fun “throwing Andrew” shot…take a look down below. 😏 And of course, made the girls throw some leaves…because are you really shooting a fall wedding if you don’t throw leaves!? 🤣
After the ceremony we went right into family portraits, right outside by the beautiful orange tree. Then we headed to the bride’s parents’ house for some photos. Another great photo spot! A lovely old barn (right up my alley 😉) and a really pretty stone driveway. Why do I think this stone driveway was so pretty?! 😂 Because not only was the sun right behind the couple (which is perfect for lighting) but it also reflects the natural skin tones of any person. I would RATHER shoot on a white stone driveway or a sidewalk, over green grass. This type of lighting, it called “Secondary Lighting.” Yes the couple is getting LIT from the front, with the sun. But where else is light (or color) coming from? The ground! If it’s green, that green WILL effect skin tones….believe it or not.
I am ALWAYS looking for secondary light and when I saw that stone driveway, I got excited. 😂
So here’s to Gloria & Andrew’s Ohio fall wedding, the sweetest couple ever and a BEAUTIFUL fall day in October. I wish you two the best in the years to come. In the meantime, if you want to check out their summer engagement session head over to that blog post. 😉
