I just love working with repeat clients, especially when they have two of the cutest boys ever! I’ve been privileged to shoot the Kemerers twice last year. They are such a nice family! When I have the opportunity to shoot the same family, I can capture their children as they are growing. It also gives me the chance to create a special relationship with each family. Waylon and his brother Easton have such infectious smiles! I can’t get enough of their cute little dimples. Every time I photograph them, there are never any tears! They both just love to be hams in front of the camera.

A great place to shoot, in the Findlay, Ohio area, is Litzenberg Memorial Woods. Even though this cake smash was all about Waylon, I made sure to take photos of both Waylon and Easton together. Waylon literally smiled at anything I said. It didn’t take much effort on my end for some smiles, but getting him to look at the camera was another thing! However, I will take lots of smiles over looking straight at the camera any day of the week!

For my clients who would like to plan a cake smash with me, I will work with you leading up to the session about your β€œtheme.” Whether that’s going to match the birthday party theme, their bedroom, or want something simple and sweet, I’m always here to help you! I usually have props to match that theme, so there’s no need for you to buy extra materials. I also have used decorations from the child’s birthday party, so don’t throw them away! Be sure to keep them, because we may just use them for your photos! If you have yet to order decorations, order them ahead of time so we can use them for both events.

For this 1st birthday session, Waylon’s mom did exactly that! She brought the high chair pennant, the balloons and the O.N.E. letters from his party, and it was absolutely perfect! For all of my cake smash sessions, I have the parents bring three outfits so we have plenty to choose from and at least one that can get messy from all the good cake.

Happy 1st birthday Waylon! I hope you enjoyed your yummy smash cake! I hope you grow big and strong like your dad and always enjoy your silly brother’s presence. You and Easton are the best of friends, and I hope it stays like that for years to come!
