Take a look at this little cutie patootie! Makenzie was a model, she loved to smile and she was the first baby that has ever blinked after each time my flash went off! 😂 Mom and I had a roaring laugh after each time she blinked, so stinking cute. ☺️
From crawling super-fast (away from the backdrops of course) to destroying her cake Makenzie had a WONDERFUL 1st birthday, smash cake session! Want to know a trick on how to keep a 1 year old from crawling away? Stick her in a bucket! No joke! We tried a wooden crate, too much space, she got right out. We put her in bucket, BAM…she stayed “still” – now that’s what I call a mom win and a photographer win! 🙌🏼📸
Thank you dad for your expertise on making the tissue balls and getting the cake 😉, it was ALL well worth these precious smiles. And of course thank you mom for always multitasking when needed, especially at a photo session. Whether that is doing whatever possible to get her to smile or it’s cleaning up the cake mess, I appreciate all the help! 🤗
Tips for future cake smashers: if your little one is teething the week of the photo shoot, take note of that and if you need to, give your child medicine right before you come. It will calm the child down and I promise it will be more enjoyable for everyone. I would hate to see mom or dad stressed over a fussy baby. Stay calm and do what is best for the baby.
