I absolutely love shooting summer weddings, especially when I get to photograph a couple at a brand new wedding venue! Dakota and Ashley’s wedding in Monroeville, Ohio at The Village Barn was so such a special day! They had their wedding and reception all in one location.
This rustic venue features an authentic structure of a 1900’s style barn with original barn beams. In addition to the barn, they have a large gathering hall as well for a wedding or any event. Whether you plan to get married outside in the summer or indoors in the winter, this venue is the perfect location for any wedding season!
If you follow my blog, you will have seen Dakota and Ashley’s winter engagement session! Dakota and Ashley are high school sweethearts, both graduating from Western Reserve High School. They have been together for 10 years! Dakota and I work for the same company called Sunrise Cooperative. Since I am the company’s photographer, Dakota has already been in front of the camera when I take pictures. I had only met Ashley this winter during their engagement session, but we immediately hit it off! Their engagement session was a lot of fun, so I knew that their wedding was going to be even better!
They are such a lovely couple to work with! They were totally on board with any suggestions for posing or where we could do bride and groom portraits around the property. After the ceremony, we captured family formals underneath the arch for the ceremony. In addition to shooting in front of the venue, we walked down the road and found a brick road for portraits as well.
Congratulations Ashley and Dakota on your special day! If you’re recently engaged, I would love to photograph your wedding! Be sure to send me an email so we can start planning together!
