Amy and Grant’s engagement session in downtown Tiffin, Ohio was so much fun to capture! I love when I get referrals from friends that I have photographed in the past! They found me through one of their friends, who is actually a bridesmaid in their wedding. That friend, I took her senior photos a while ago, right when I was starting my business. Amy loved my work so much that she reached out to me shoot their wedding.
Grant and Amy actually got married last year on Christmas Day 2020, but only had a small ceremony. So when they booked me for their wedding, they wanted the full wedding experience minus the ceremony. They were excited to shoot their official engagement session with as me as well, as I include it with all of my wedding packages.
Historical Downtown Tiffin
Shooting in downtown Tiffin, Ohio is always a great place for a session. There are so many things to see and do. There are several history and glass museums in the area in addition to some fun shopping. Seneca County where Tiffin is located is named after the Seneca Indians who were a part of the Iroquois Confederacy. The Iroquois were based in New York State, but had territories in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
While we walked around downtown I got to learn more about them. What they each did for a living and what they both were envisioning for their wedding day celebration. I always enjoy shooting in downtown Tiffin with my wedding couples! There are such unique spots for photos, such as the red brick buildings, old white doors, and we cannot forget about the strung lights on Cherry Alley. We even made sure to grab a photo in front of the awesome sign of the Laird Arcade Brewery.
Amy and Grant picked a lovely time of year for their wedding. I cannot wait to capture their big celebration with family and friends! If you would like your engagement session to be in the downtown area, please visit my contact page so we can plan some ideas!
