Snow adds such a magical touch for any portraits, so I’m really excited that the weather cooperated again this time! 👏🏻 Lyla and Travis’ winter engagement session in Columbus, Ohio turned out beautiful! We met up in the suburbs just outside of Columbus at Highbanks Metro park. It was a really cold day, but with the sun giving us some pretty light, this sweet couple braved the winter weather. THANK YOU! 🥰
Lyla and Travis reached out to me through friends of friends that I have known since college. As a wedding photographer, I can’t tell you what a compliment it is to be referred for, for future sessions AND weddings! I appreciate the kind words. ❤️ As excited as I was to capture another “snow session”, I knew this was going to be my last one for the remainder of the year. 😔 If you follow my blog, you will have seen the recent engagement session I shot in the snow in Fremont, Ohio. It has already reached sixty degrees here in Ohio, so my “snow list” that I’ve talked about, is officially over. 😢
This adorable couple met on Bumble about two and a half years ago. They have actually been engaged since June. They took a trip to Cabo San Lucas last summer where Travis proposed. Lyla and Travis chose Highbanks Metro Park for their engagement portraits. This beautiful park is located in the suburbs of Columbus in Lewis Center, Ohio. A quiet hidden gem, perfect for photo sessions!
There’s an abundance of outdoor activities for everyone including hiking trails, biking, fishing and canoeing. However, with the fresh fallen snow, we were pretty much the only people at the park for their engagement session. (🥳) The park has some great spots for portraits, from the bridge to the “winter weeds” as I like to call them. 🤣 Highbanks Metro Park is the perfect nature setting for any engagement session!
Congrats to Lyla and Travis on their upcoming wedding! If you’re looking for a fun nature park setting for your engagement session in Columbus, look no further! Reach out to me soon so we can plan a date! 😏
