There’s something extra special about photographing seniors I’ve known since they were little girls. This time, I had the honor of capturing Macy and Reese, two best friends from Clyde and Bellevue, Ohio. Their best friends senior session were unique because not only did they each have their own individual shoots, but we also did a fun 30-minute session together to celebrate their friendship. 💛
What makes their bond even sweeter is their connection to Champion All Stars, the cheer gym my aunt Sherry founded back in 2006. That’s where I first met both Macy and Reese years ago, when they were just eight years old, tumbling and cheering with so much energy. I still remember spotting them on skills, giggling on the mats, and watching their love for cheer shine. To see them now all grown up, confident, and best friends is such a full-circle moment.
And here’s a fun fact: while Macy and Reese are from different cities, Clyde and Bellevue are only a short drive apart on State Route 20. They jokingly call it the “Battle of Route 20” because they attend rival high schools, but clearly, these two have been teammates and friends far longer!
Macy’s High School Journey
Macy’s time at Clyde High School has been full of involvement and leadership. From volleyball and competitive cheer her freshman year, to being a member of Science Club, NHS, Prom Committee, Broadcast, Key Club, and Student Council, she has truly made the most of her high school years. She also challenged herself academically by taking College Credit Plus (CCP) classes, balancing it all with her love for CrossFit and tumbling.
When asked about her biggest accomplishment, Macy said it was “being involved in everything,” and her dedication is paying off as she prepares to pursue nursing at either BGSU Firelands or Owen’s Community College. She’s excited for the future, but also cherishes this last summer with her close-knit senior class before everyone heads off in different directions. 💙💛
We first headed to downtown Fremont, Ohio for the start of her session and then to Don Miller Park just two miles down the road. Reese joined us there for pictures of both her and Macy together. All of Macy’s outfits were absolutely perfect! They fit so well in every location we shot!

Reese’s High School Journey
Reese’s story is just as inspiring! After eight years of competitive cheer, she shifted her focus to the gym as a teen and found a new rhythm outside of school sports. Like Macy, she challenged herself academically with College Credit Plus courses, proudly earning enough credits to graduate Bellevue High School already ahead as a college sophomore.
For Reese, her biggest accomplishment has been staying committed to her academics while creating a path that will give her a strong head start after graduation. She’s excited to continue making memories with her friends and family during this next chapter, and one of her future possibilities includes studying marketing at a community college.
We started at Don Miller Park for Reese’s senior portraits and then headed to Tindall Bridge in Fremont, Ohio. This location is always popular with my senior clients and is a good combination between metal and nature!

A Photographer’s Full-Circle Moment
For me, this session was more than just capturing pretty portraits. These senior photoshoots were a celebration of growth, friendship, and memories. I’ve now had the privilege of photographing Reese and her two sisters for their senior sessions. 🥹 Being able to capture Macy’s senior portraits as well feels like coming full circle. Watching these young women grow up has been such an honor, and I can’t wait to see all that they accomplish in the future! ❤️

This best friends senior session for Macy and Reese was joyful, full of laughter, and a reminder of how special it is to not only document senior year, but the friendships that make it unforgettable! If you’re ready to document your senior year, message me soon! My calendar is almost booked for the remainder of the fall!
