Nothing makes me happier than working with a sweet farm loving couple that has a passion for agriculture just like I do! Kelsie and Chris had a lovely fall wedding at the Huron County Fairgrounds in Norwalk, Ohio.
A Country Farm Wedding
From the vintage style barns to the wind mill, the Huron County Fairgrounds offers a beautiful backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. Not only is the older barns my style of work, but the nice big grass area and low hanging tree branches were the perfect set up for Kelsie and Chris’ wedding.
Kelsie did a wonderful job decorating the ceremony area. She included colorful fall mums down the aisle and a vintage style door frame that allowed the wedding party to walk through. However, we cannot forget the tractors! A Steiger and a Case IH are two large pieces of tractor equipment that were the perfect addition for this country farm wedding.
After the ceremony, all of the portraits were taken outside. We had the most perfect weather for it! I really do prefer to shoot outside whenever possible. As a photographer, I know in some cases this can be difficult for weddings, especially if there is really bad weather or the location doesn’t allow for it.
However, my goal is to always try and capture some sun in any wedding that I shoot. I love when I can make my photos “warm” by taking photos outside when it’s sunny. My favorite position for all of my subjects is when the sun is hitting behind them and that light is lightly wrapping around their bodies.
We headed into the reception after taking portraits. The bride and groom had great music, delicious food and a night full of dancing! Towards the end of the night, because we had a GREAT outdoor setup, I took Kelsie and Chris outside for some night time portraits. CHECK THEM OUT! While I was posing them, Chris asked me “How do you have so much energy?!” I said that it was part of my job! Kelsie chimed in and added “She’s always like this!” I replied with, “That I am!” I paused for a second and said “I love doing this…if you couldn’t tell.”
So there ya have it folks! That is absolute PROOF that I really do love this job! My passion does shine through for all of the weddings that I’ve shot 😉 Congratulations Kelsie and Chris on your beautiful fall wedding at the Huron County Fairgrounds!
Weddings really do make me happy, and I cannot wait to keep building this business! Let’s chat today if you have an upcoming wedding and have yet to book a photographer. I still have 2024 dates available and have already gotten a few inquiries for 2025! It’s never too early!!
