This beautiful country wedding was held in Tiffin, Ohio, and was such a fun one to be a part of! The ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic church with a beautiful ceremony, and then afterwards, the bridal party headed out to the bride’s parent’s property/farm for the reception. Along the way, we made a stop at some friend’s log cabin for pictures, and then continued on for more pictures in front of the big, beautiful, old white barn at the farm.
Before we talk about the reception, I have to mention how the bridal party got from the church to the farm! They traveled in a legit, big, semi-trailer…with couches and a cooler all set up in the back, and that was the bridal party’s transportation! From navigating the one way streets in Tiffin to the small township roads outside of Tiffin, it was a cool sight to see! Kuddos to the semi driver(s)! I can’t say I’ve ever shot anything like this before, but now I can! It was so neat/different and fit the couple perfectly.
The reception was so beautifully done. The whole property seemed to be sparkling. The eating and dancing was held in a big shop with another tent right outside for more seating. Everything was stunningly decorated, from the white and brown wicker furniture, the simple but oh so elegant centerpieces, the galvanized tubs and the wooden crates. Everything had a classy and elegant country vibe to it. Every detail from this wedding just showed me how much hard work and time was put into getting that shop/property clean. For everyone that helped with that process, YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB!
Justin & Marissa are the definition of a power couple. They met at a bar in Tiffin 7 years ago, and have been together ever since. I loved listening to the Best Man and Maid of Honor speeches and hearing more about this wonderful couple! The Maid of Honor talked about how Marissa is a hard working individual and will do literally anything she sets her mind to, and is also one of the sweetest people on earth. After shooting both their engagement session and wedding, and working with her for these last months, I whole heartedly agree!!! Justin and I got along so well too…both of us are very sarcastic which just made it so easy and fun to hang out with them!
A note for future brides, I want you to know that you should plan your wedding based on who you two are as a couple, not based on what “traditionally” is done. Just because every past wedding has done it, (whatever “it” is), does not mean you have to! If you want to hop on a boat and run around a lake for pictures, or whatever it may be, I’m down for it! I love adventures and I want your wedding day to be fully and completely about YOU. You can literally do whatever you want…the sky truly is the limit! So let’s make your dreams a reality!
Justin & Marissa, best wishes for this new life together! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey!
