Wow, I can’t believe how much fun this senior season has been! Getting to work with all of these incredible seniors has been such a joy, and I’m seriously over here smiling just thinking about each and every session. From the laughs, to the confidence boosts, to those “OMG” moments, it’s been a season to remember!

Every senior brought their own personality, style, and energy, and that’s what made each session so special. No two were the same, and I absolutely LOVE that. That’s the beauty of senior sessions because they are all about YOU. Let’s take a minute to celebrate the senior class of 2026!

Before the Session: Planning, Prepping, and Getting Hyped Up!

Before we even meet up, the fun already starts! 😏 I work closely with each senior to make sure they feel 100% ready walking into their session. If any of them have outfit questions, we will walk through that together. Sometimes it’s about colors, or maybe location vibes, and or it’s just needing that extra little “YES, WE’RE DOING THIS!” push. And I am HERE for that! We confirm their must-have locations, what kind of vibe they are going for, and how many outfits they want to bring. I help map everything out so when each senior’s session day is here, there is ZERO stress. ☺️

During the Session: Laughs, Movement, and ZERO Awkwardness

Let me just say that every single one of these senior sessions was FUN! From the second we meet in the parking lot/driveway/etc., my goal is to make every senior feel comfortable, confident, and completely themselves. No stiff poses, no awkward “what do I do with my hands” moments, because I will guide you the entire time. I will sometimes even get messy by sitting on the ground to show you exactly what to do! I’m all for it! 😉

I love creating moments of walking on lines, spinning in circles, flipping hair around, and maybe even doing a few “this feels silly” moves. Trust me when I say, they always turn into the BEST shots. Every single time! 🥰

It’s completely normal to be nervous because they’re never in front of their camera. However, it doesn’t last long. We talk, we laugh, we find common ground (I always find something we have in common 😉), and before long it just feels like hanging out and snapping some amazing photos along the way.

Bringing a Senior’s Ideas and Vision to Life

One of my favorite parts of this season was helping seniors bring their ideas to life! If my senior girls want to wear a flowy dresses in the water, then I’m totally game! (In fact that’s my FAVORITE to do with senior ladies! 😍) Whether a senior wants urban vibes downtown or that pretty golden hour glow in a field, we are going to do it! 👏🏼

I help them carefully pair outfits with locations to create a full gallery that feels cohesive but still totally unique to each senior. Watching their vision come together in real time is seriously the coolest thing.

After the Session: The “I’m OBSESSED” Moments

This part of being a senior photographer never gets old. Delivering galleries and seeing the reactions from the senior and their parent is EVERYTHING. I love all the messages, the excitement, the “I can’t pick my favorites because I love them all!” is what it’s all about.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about pretty pictures. It’s about capturing a HUGE moment in their lives and giving them something they can look back on and feel proud of.

Not Just a Photoshoot, But an Experience

I say this all the time, and I mean it with my whole heart, but this is so much more than just showing up, taking photos, and leaving.

I want to get to know my seniors. I want to hear about their plans, what they’re excited about, what’s next for them. I want them to feel seen, celebrated, and confident walking away from their session. Honestly, a lot of these sessions turn into connections that last way beyond just a senior session, and that means the world to me. ❤️
