November engagement sessions in Ohio are always a little unpredictable, and Adam and Hannah’s session was no exception. From strong winds to swirling leaves, this photoshoot truly embraced everything we love about fall in Ohio. With a little creativity, some strategic body-blocking from the wind, and the stunning architecture around us, we turned a blustery day into a beautiful and unforgettable engagement session at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio.
A Fun and Loving First Date
Adam and Hannah’s love story is one of those that instantly makes you smile. They met through a dating app, and Hannah waited a full week before responding to Adam. Not long after, she found herself sitting across from him at a Mexican restaurant, meeting him for the very first time. From that moment on, the rest truly was history. Hannah knew after that first date that she had met her future husband, and honestly, you can feel that certainty when you see them together.
After dating for just ten months, Adam knew it was time to propose. Wanting everything to be absolutely perfect, he enlisted the help of Hannah’s sister, Rachel, to pick out the ring and choose the proposal location. On May 17, 2025, Adam told Hannah to dress up for a date night, which immediately raised her suspicions, since he normally doesn’t care so much on those details. He drove her to Lake Erie, and as they walked along the beach, he popped the question. Meanwhile, Rachel was secretly tucked away hidden, capturing the entire proposal on camera. (Good girl Rachel! 📸) The celebration didn’t stop there! Afterward, Adam and Hannah met up with both of their families at a winery to celebrate their engagement.
Colorful Leaves and Gorgeous Architecture
For their engagement session, we chose Heidelberg University, one of my favorite locations for engagement portraits in Tiffin, Ohio. 🍁 November can be a gamble when it comes to fall color, but we got lucky. The campus still had gorgeous autumn leaves clinging to the trees, creating the perfect warm backdrop. We spent the full hour walking around campus, taking advantage of the historic buildings, cozy walkways, and colorful foliage, capturing a ton of amazing images along the way.
Agriculture also plays a meaningful role in Adam and Hannah’s lives. Adam works for AgCredit, and while Hannah doesn’t work directly in agriculture, she’s a proud former 4-H girl. I’ve known Hannah’s family for years and was even part of the same county 4-H program as her. Getting to photograph couples I already have personal connections with, especially those tied to the ag community, is always an extra special bonus for me. 😉 (I’m a farm nerd at heart ❤️)
Adam and Hannah are simply adorable together. Their laughter, giggles, and effortless smiles made this engagement session such a joy. Walking around campus, chatting, and getting to know them better is one of my favorite parts of any engagement session, and this one was truly special. I can’t wait to celebrate these two again on their wedding day! 2026 is already becoming very busy! If you got a ring over the holiday season, now is the time to schedule your engagement session (or even book your wedding!) with me! 💍
