While most high school seniors are soaking up their last lazy days of summer, Mia was already living her best Buckeye life during an epic senior photoshoot right on the The Ohio State campus where she’ll be calling home this fall. ❤️ Mia just graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and is going to my alma mater. GO BUCKS! Mia is a beautiful young girl inside and out and I have enjoyed watching her grow up as she blossomed into an amazing leader and cheerleader. Her senior session at Ohio State was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see her cheer with the team! 📣
A High School and Competitive Cheerleader
I met Mia when I was coaching at Champion Cheer & Tumble. It was her first few years as an all star cheerleader. Since 2014, she has grown as a phenomenal athlete, leader and student. She continued her all-star cheerleading at Top Gun All Stars in Avon, Ohio for a few more years in high school.
After years of hard work and several college visits, she decided on Ohio State and I couldn’t be more proud! For those of you who don’t know, I was also an Ohio State Cheerleader, but on the All Girl Team. I was a member for one year and met a lot of friends. However, after competing for nine years in the competitive cheerleading industry, I was ready to explore more opportunities. I’m very honored and happy to know that Mia will be on the co-ed, D1 cheerleading team for the Ohio State Buckeyes. 🙌🏻 What a PRIVILEGE and an HONOR to be on that team, and I wish her THE BEST of luck at OSU! 🥰

The Best Portrait Locations at OSU
We started taking pictures right in front of “the shoe” – aka the Ohio State football Stadium. This beautiful stone stadium is a great location and is the fourth largest on-campus stadium in the nation. The black metal structure in front of the stadium (which also gives a great backdrop for photos) is known as the “Celebration for a Champion.” This monument was designed by Curtis Patterson in 1984 in memory of Jesse Owens.
From there we walked over to The Oval which is considered the center of campus. We shot some photos at the top of The Oval, where the OSU emblem is in the sidewalk. We headed down the main sidewalk and got photos along the way. At the very far west side of The Oval stands the Thompson Library and just in front of that is the William Oxley Statue.
The famous Mirror Lake is a popular location on campus for any portrait session because of the beautiful landscaping. 🌸 Mia chose a pretty pink dress for this spot and for our visit at the Browning Amphitheater. We ended her senior session just outside of Mendenhall Laboratory, where there are stone columns and a staircase.
All of Mia’s senior portraits turned out beautiful, and she is a such a natural in front of the camera! I’m honored that she asked me to be her photographer for her senior session at Ohio State! ❤️ I can’t wait to do this again when she graduates with her college diploma! 😉 If you’re ready to capture your senior session at The Ohio State University this fall or next spring, let’s start making plans!
