Capturing weddings is fun, exciting, exhausting, but rewarding all at the same time. There’s something magical about taking pictures at the start of a couple’s journey together. But what truly fills my heart is when that journey continues in front of my lens. ❤️
I’ve been blessed to watch many of my wedding couples evolve into new parents, homeowners, establish new careers, and so much more. Each time a past wedding client comes back for another session, it’s like reconnecting with old friends. We pick up right where we left off, only now with new stories to tell and new moments to preserve. Let’s keep documenting your story even after your wedding!
The Journey Continues
Life after “I do” unfolds in chapters such as new homes, career milestones, growing families, anniversaries, relocations. However, one thing remains constant: the importance of documenting these precious seasons. As your photographer, nothing would make me happier than being the one who helps tell your complete story, not just its beautiful beginning.
I genuinely treasure the opportunity to maintain connections with my couples throughout the years. It’s not just about adding more photos to your collection. It’s about creating a visual timeline of your life together and celebrating each milestone with the same care and creativity that went into your wedding gallery.
The Missed Connection
I’ve noticed something over the years that makes me pause: many of my wedding couples don’t return for family or milestone sessions after the wedding day. While I cherish the handful who do come back, I sometimes wonder about those who don’t.
Has your life simply become too busy, did you move away, or perhaps you didn’t realize that I offer more than just wedding photography? Whatever the reason, I want you to know my door is always open, and my camera is always ready for your next chapter. 📸
Beyond the Wedding Day
Many of my past couples might not realize that wedding photography is just one facet of what I do. My experience as a professional photographer includes more than just capturing a new husband and wife. I love maternity sessions that celebrate the miracle of new life, family portraits that freeze time, and children’s milestone sessions such as their first steps or second, third, fourth……birthday. As your children get older, your senior will be graduating from high school into that next chapter of life. Of course, an anniversary session is always a good idea to celebrate your continuing love story. 😉
The Benefits of Coming Back
There’s something special about working with a photographer who already knows you. Since my clients have worked with me before, they know my communication style and what to expect from each portrait session. My editing style is the same across all types of photoshoots, so wedding pictures and future sessions will have a cohesive look and feel. There aren’t anymore awkward moments during a session because you’re already comfortable in front of my camera. I also already know your story and I can keep telling it authentically as your family grows.
Relationships Over Transactions
From day one, my priority has been building genuine relationships with my clients. When you book a session with me, it’s never just a business transaction – it’s an experience and an opportunity to deepen our connection.
I want you to look back on your images years from now and think, “Wow, that was such a fun day with her! She made us feel amazing!”That feeling doesn’t have to end after your wedding gallery is delivered.
Staying Connected
Maintaining connections means more than just delivering beautiful photos. It means continuing to show up in your world long after the vows. That’s why I share tips, behind-the-scenes peeks, and family and senior session highlights on social media and on my blog. Whether you’re newly pregnant, chasing toddlers, or just want to document everyday magic, I want to remind you that I’m still here, and I’d love to keep capturing your story as it unfolds.
Let’s Keep Writing Your Visual Story
If I had the honor of capturing your wedding day, please know that you were never just a date on my calendar: you were a part of my photography story too. Watching your lives unfold, even from afar, has been such a joy. If you haven’t already, follow me on social media so we can stay connected! 😉
But I don’t JUST want to admire from a distance. I want to keep documenting your journey. Whether it’s a maternity session, an extended family shoot, or just an annual tradition to freeze time for a moment, I’m here for it!
Don’t just take my word for it. Here’s what couples who’ve continued their photography journey with me have to say:
“From our wedding to family photos, to my child’s first birthday photos, you will not be disappointed with Diana! She gives you the full photography experience! We love working with her! She makes you feel so comfortable during photo shoots.”
— Kathryn & Brian
“Diana has shot our family photos, children photos and even our wedding. Not only does she have a professional reputation, she is also very enjoyable to work with. Our experience working with her over the years is phenomenal!”
— Drew & Miranda
If you’re in a new season of life and looking for someone who already knows your story, I’d be honored to step back behind the lens for you. Let’s keep going! Your next chapter is just as beautiful as your first! 💜
